Job Title Epic Professional Billing (PB) Implementation Lead Job Description The Professional Billing (PB) Implementation Lead will provide overall leadership in planning, organizing and directing of the implementation of the Professional Billing model and subsequent upgrades for an add-on to an existing Epic system. The enterprise is currently on Epic, but Billing is currently on Athena and will be moved onto Epic thanks to your leadership. Monitors staff productivity, quality, and efficiencies to ensure financial and collection metrics are achieved Will establish collaborative relationships with other departments/clinics/providers as necessary for effective revenue cycle performance Ensures excellent customer service and achievement of fiscal responsibility outlined in the budget Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered) Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and revenue cycle experience At Least One of the Following Certifications (multiple preferred): - Epic Resolute Professional Billing: Revenue Integrity Certification - Epic Resolute Professional Billing: Insurance Follow up Certification - Epic Resolute Professional Billing: Claims and Billing Readiness Certification 3 years of progressively complex implementation management/lead experience 3 years of progressively responsible billing and/or collection of medical claims experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities Must have working knowledge of Provider Based billing and compliance regulations Minimum 3 years, preferred 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry with emphasis on Revenue Cycle processes Experience with continuous process improvement through the lean six sigma approach Experience with Facility Structure Consolidation What you need to know - This is a contract role in Maryland - Travel/food/general expenses will be reimbursed - Very high-level leadership responsibilities for an add-on Epic PB implementation
