Prepare and review administration, benefit calculations, and related activities for defined benefit and cash balance plans for client businesses. Consult relationship manager regarding plan design and compliance in consideration of client goals. Perform actuarial valuations for plans of varying size and complexity. Administer defined benefit and cash balance retirement plans through contribution calculations, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation premium determinations, distribution package preparation and annual compliance testing. Assess plan account statements to determine fair market and actuarial value of assets. Review plan documents and apply provisions for benefit calculations and plan administration. Maintain up-to date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes with regard to ERISA law. Complete and review required governmental disclosures and reporting forms. Communicate with Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation regarding retirement plans.
