Intelligence Analyst

Serve as a specialized Intelligence Analyst with a focus on current and emerging Counterterrorism (CT) and Technical threats. Provide direct support to complex worldwide operations, using specialized tools and techniques in manipulating various classified and open source databases in supporting counterintelligence (CI) and foreign intelligence (FI) operations. The primary function of a Targeting Officer is to collaborate with a team of intelligence professionals in support of Counter Terrorism (CT) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations against targets of interest. A successful Targeting Officer identifies and evaluates possible CI and FI concerns, drives HUMINT and CT operations through written products and briefings, and empowers core collectors by producing detailed targeting packages. The general responsibilities of a Targeting Officer include but not limited to: Reviewing operational traffic for intelligence leads Drafting comprehensive targeting packages in support of the client’s objectives. Writing, editing, formatting, and disseminating cables. Engaging operational components within the customer organization to address targeting requirements and develop new leads for operational exploitation. Conducting detailed searches and traces on items, organizations, and entities, including persons of operational interest and relay pertinent data to relevant customer components. Education: Bachelors’ degree or five (5) plus years of task related experience in the IC and professional training may be substituted for education. Qualifications: Seven (7) plus years of task related experience in the IC conducting intelligence analysis, research, or targeting in support of the US intelligence community Experience in supporting CT and HUMINT operations with acute familiarity with the Intelligence Community and its objectives. Experience in writing, formatting, coordinating, editing, and disseminating customer cables (Required) Experience with Client classified and open source databases and tools Experience working CT issues Experience working in a fast-paced environment Strong background in technology and thorough understanding of basic internet communication techniques. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required. Ability to mentor junior staff. Ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively. Strong communication skills, especially ability to brief senior officials.
