Clinical Nurse Manager $5000 SIGN ON BONUS

The Clinical Nurse Manager provides direction and supervision of nursing services for the Family Practice Department. The Clinical Nurse Manager manages the day-to-day functions of the nursing and clinical support staff at Harbor Community Health Center - Hyannis. Duties include but are not limited to: direct supervision of nursing and clinical support staff, budget development and management, development and implementation of processes in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC), the Dept. of Public Health (DPH) and OSHA compliance standards, development and implementation of quality assurance program, scheduling of staff, triage; access; case management; and nursing support of clinical sessions; managing provider schedules; management and development of nursing and medical assisting staff preferred. Essential Functions: •Coordinates the day-to-day flow of patient care within departments. •In collaboration with Director of Nursing, Practice Manager and the Site Medical Director. recommends, implements and problem solves activities regarding department operational issues. •Supervises develops and directs departmental Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants and related support staff. •Assists with hiring, orienting, evaluating and disciplining appropriate staff, responsible for scheduling of all clinical and support staff. •Develops and implements systems for stocking, reordering, storage and maintenance of department supplies, medications and equipment, per HHSI policy. Assists in review and development of patient education materials. •Assists in development of departmental visit and personnel budget. Manages personnel budget including payroll variance report. •Maintains ongoing relationships with outside organizations (i.e. ABCD, Avon, etc.), which support departmental initiatives. •Monitors grant expenditures as appropriate. •Facilitates strategic plan goals as appropriate. •Develops, implements and monitors an infection control program in compliance with Dept. of Public Health, The Joint Commission and other pertinent regulatory agencies. •Develops and implements department QI plan that meets Dept. of Public Health, The Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements. •16-20 hours of clinical time per week is required. Minimum Qualifications: Current MA Registered Nurse (RN) license, three years of experience in clinical nursing with one year of supervisory experience, ambulatory nursing experience preferred. Intermediate Computer skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, case management experience. $2500 on start date and $2500 at 90 days.
