Our client, a large, growing, high-tech manufacturing company, located near Huntington, West Virginia is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer. Responsible for assigned manufacturing processes with the ultimate goal to become self-directed and grow within the organization. Will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities, participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction, lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction. Also responsible for achieving product target cost, improving efficiency and identifying possible production problems for existing products within your assigned area. This is a very hands-on role with at least half of your time spent on the manufacturing floor addressing day-to-day operations and problem solving. The other half would be spent focused on launching new products in a customer/outward facing role, coordinating with product designers, process people, equipment suppliers and attending meetings. Must have strong communications, organizational and computer skills with the desire and ability to learn and grow and a passion for quality. Must have a desire to work with robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and machine building equipment. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role is required. Automotive industry experience is preferred. Experience with product launch, 3D CAD and/or PLC experience would all be a plus. Competitive salary and benefits package including relocation from within the Continental United States.
