New York Law Office We are a boutique law firm. Our practice areas focus on estate planning and administration, asset protection and immigration. We have a fair amount of Chinese clients who speak little to no English and would need someone to translate between parties, as well as other assigned office tasks. The ideal candidate would be fluent in Mandarin (speaking, reading and writing). Previous legal experience and/or knowledge of legal and business terms would be a plus. Additionally, a candidate must be hard-working, punctual, professional, presentable, honest, work well with others, possess excellent communication skills, and be a self-starter. A basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is mandatory. The position is primarily based in New York, but will require occasional travel (with mileage reimbursement). Training will be considered for the right candidate. If considered, the candidate must acquire a Notary within 3 months of hiring. All fees associated with the Notary license, including classes, exam, and supplies will be reimbursed/provided by the firm. Compensation and benefits include a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), employer-paid health insurance, mileage reimbursement when required to travel, and vacation and sick days.
