What We Do We specialize in new road construction, such as highways/roadways and parking lots, in addition to asphalt maintenance, road preservation and repair. How You Can Help Drivers will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles for the purpose of transporting and distributing material and equipment related to road construction/maintenance operations. Positions include triaxle dump truck drivers and distributor drivers that plan and conduct oil spraying on roads. To support the company value of teamwork, drivers will be expected to assist as laborers and operators on paving and or/chipping crews. Management may also direct drivers to assist on special assignments or projects. Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program including safe and precise operation of commercial vehicles Maintain appropriate DOT log and complete neat and accurate assigned paperwork Perform daily inspection on assigned equipment and referring defects or repairs to Equipment Division Assist with preparing roads for surfacing Assist with controlling traffic to protect maintenance workers, work crews, and members of the public Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required Perform manual labor assignments as needed What You Need Commercial Driver’s License – Class A; B; Hazmat Endorsement, depending on specific role and equipment to be operated Must be able to maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe and effective fashion High school graduate (or GED) Ability to work varied shifts and long hours during peak operation times, possibly in inclement weather (spring, summer and fall). May include overnight travel in Mid-Atlantic region with every attempt to weekend in Pittsburgh. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when assigned manual tasks What You’ll Receive $18.50-$23 per hour depending on experience and vehicle with potential for raise after 90-days 10-20 hours overtime per week $2,000 signing bonus paid over four months Paid accommodations and per diem with overnight travel Medical, dental and vision benefits 401(k) plans with 25% match of the first 6% of gross pay Paid Time Off Benefits remain active during layoff period
