Furniture Buyer 140,000 annual salary Our client, a fast-paced, growing BIG BOX retailer, based in, the South Western United States is looking to hire a detail-oriented Furniture Buyer to join their team. Known for out pride in state, you will be welcomed into the organization and given the keys to drive sales through effective and intentional Furniture buying! We have a great opening for an experienced Furniture Buyer to join our team at a our corporate head office. You will be someone who understands the functions of a Furniture Buyer very well and has over 4+ years of experience in a Senior or Head Buyer role. We need someone who exhibits a fantastic work ethic, core sourcing and product development aptitude, a strong sense of the market and any conditions surrounding your business unit, and leadership qualities will take you far as we always promote from within. Your category will be Furniture and your scope will be: living room, bedroom, home office, décor and housewares, dining room, entertainment, and home theatre. You will also be given a benefits package, a bonus package, and a wonderful six figure salary. We offer day time hours and an office setting. You will be required to travel from time to time, including to China and other countries for buying shows and company directed meetings. Responsibilities: • Source and collaborate with other buyers on unified and individual business unit goals • Manage furniture sub-categories and develop products • Assist and drive the merchandising strategy. • Create new business opportunities through dynamic buying and collaboration with other buyers • Review and implement program developments cross-functionally • Analyze and present action plans for upper management • Perform other duties as required Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business • 4+ years of experience in a similar role • High SKU experience • Ability to use Microsoft Office at a high proficiency • Ability to barter for the best deal • Ability to speak, read, and write in English (Spanish an asset) • Works well with a corporate team • The ability to utilize your creative talents to bring the best product to consumers.
