Technical writer

  Role : Technical writer Location : San Antonio, TX Project Duration: Contract  6+ Months   Job Title: Technical writer Information Technology/ Information Security   The policy, standards, and baseline team seeks a technical writer to work directly with the team topic developers. Responsibilities include technical writing duties to develop, edit, format, and standardize Information security documentation to meet organizational requirements. This also includes the review of policy, standards, processes, procedures, and other official correspond.   Job Requirements:   ?             Experience in interfacing with management, subject matter experts, and stakeholders in support of team projects and initiatives (e.g., glossary, DE processes, user guides) ?             Ability to interpret information obtained through research and or provided by stakeholders into a written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers. ?             Experience entering and managing content in a GRC tool (e.g. RSA Archer), confluence, etc. ?             Experience in leading planning teams and driving projects and initiatives in multiple departments. ?             Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. ?             Understanding of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).   Minimum Requirements:   ?             Bachelor's Degree ?             4 or more years of related experience in Information Security and/or Information Technology to include accountability for complex tasks and/or projects. ?             Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Word and Excel, Asana (or similar project management tool) ?             Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining content deliverables in various formats ?             Strong command of grammar, spelling, and technical writing maxims   Preferred:   ?             Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework ?             Some knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices related to cybersecurity and privacy ?             Experienced in agile backlog grooming, release planning, sprint planning, and design discussions ?             Oxygen XML (or similar technology such as Arbor text or Madcap Flare)   --
