Job Title: Engineer II Security Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance Work Week: Monday to Friday Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm Flexible Hours: Yes Flexible Work Location: Newport, RI 02840 Position Overview: Our Engineer II position supports our customers at Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of engineering theories and principles gained through a 4-yr college education from an accredited institution. Recent college graduates with course work on engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) are encouraged to apply. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide solution to technical problems by utilizing engineering and mathematical concepts Analyze equipment/system design, create and validate and implement testing procedures Respond to customers inquiries about engineering and technical issues, and work with them to provide solutions using sound analytical process Monitor system performance and recommend solutions/improvements/upgrades Continuous interaction with customers and attends meetings/briefings; provide status reports POSITION REQUIREMENTS: US Citizen Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred Bachelors Level Degree in Engineering or preferably with concentration on Mechanical/Electrical concepts, designs, and theories.
